I need to compile a list of words that are accetable/not acceptable to use for parents evenings/school reports with regards to thier kids ability or lack of it.
Can you reccommend any or do you know a website that gives advice on this?

Alas, we are no longer allowed to be honest when we write reports.
I find it very difficult to write reports about talentless, lazy, rude (etc) pupils when I am not allowed to tell the parents just how awful their children are.
I now drink 3 pints of strong beer prior to doing reports. This disconnects my mind from reality and I am to write the kind of meaningless drivel that headteachers now expect.

I spent 30 years writing reports. Generally they had to sound positive, so I developed my own code.
Lively approach to his/her studies - quiter noisy but works well..
Always contributes to class discussion. - talkative.
Steady worker - not the brightest, but OK
Must pay greater attention to the task in hand - easily distracted.
I haven't had to write any for a while now, as I don't teach full time any more, but I hope these help.
