My daughter has some congestion and I don't know if I should suck it out with that nose thing. The last time I tried to suck it out I just made things worse for her and I couldn't get it all out. She even started choking the last time.

Try using the corner of a warm facewasher to clean out her nose first then put some vaseline on your pinky and lightly smear the inside of her nostrils, then prop up one ond of her cot with phone books and maybe try some dimetap, these are things i have found work as i never had a "nose sucker"

Yes, it is a good thing to use on babies. Squeeze it before you put it in her nose and then it will suck properly never sqeeze while in the babies nose as this will make her choke.

You can use those until they learn to blow their own nose. She started choking because of the gag reflex nothing serious. She probably has some drainage down her throat also. Is she on some kind of cold meds? be careful if you havent seen the recent reports about them.

i don't know how strong you are with your baby but when my little one has a blocked nose we jump in the warmest bath ever and just before we get out i shampoo his hair and then i will pour a couple of bowls of water over his head ( i know sounds horrible but he is so used to it now) and he sucks in the water and blows it out like crazy and nose is clear.. believe me its the only best way ever.. gets rid of everything

Yes you can use it i am using it with my daughter who is 9 mths. Did you use saline drops first? That losens it. If you don;t want to use it a nice warm shower/ bath does the trick too.

when you use the nasal aspirator, do it slowly or in shorter intervals. use some saline drops if you need to and then use the nasal aspirator.
