Child Welfare: Meaning "social concern for the well-being of children"

If the requirements for the job are leaving small children on their own for hours while she eats a meal and drinks wine then yes she certainly qualified to do the job! maybe over qualified!

It was reported a few days ago I think but Kate McCann (or her freind/family) has denied it. So how true it is we do not know yet. I doubt if she will get anywhere with this new career change if there is any truth in it.

Your answer is in your question...it is reported.....that does not mean that it is factual...as you must know by now.

We do not know, and cannot even pretend to know what is going on inside any family who has suffered the loss of a child.

It is most likely a low news time, and the papers are trying to spin a new story off of this ongoing trauma.

Nothing about losing a child is a joke.....

Have a good day.

Hmmm, actually it's Gerry McCann that is thinking of returning to work, and why not?! Kate has said she will not return until she know's what has happened to her daughter. As she is a GP I doubt that if and when she returns to work, it would be as a child welfare officer! Yes, the McCanns were guilty of leaving their kids alone but don't you think that they will never ever be able to forgive themselves and live with it for the rest of their lives? They are doing everything possible in their power to find their daughter, so perhaps you are being just a tad judgemental!

she would be better off cherishing the children she still has and using her time and energy to try to find her missing daughter

if she is serious about career change what is the hurry?

will her mind be on her job, because I know mine wouldn't be.
maybe they need the money
when would you say would be an appropriate time before going back to work, perhaps she realises her daughter is not coming back and needs to get life back to as near normal as possible.

the only job she should be thinking of is the one she will have to do in prison
