Many Architects were responsible for the design of Taj Mahal and supevision of the work. Records indicate that Shah jahan had taken personal interest in the construction of Taj mahal and used to hold meetings with the Architects regularly on the design and construction of the Taj Mahal.

However, as per records Architects Ustad Ahmad Lahauri and Mir Abd-ul Karim were mainly responsible for the design and construction of Taj mahal.
