Your airlock is probably in the heater core, gently remove one of the heater hoses on the firewall and let any air escape, when water starts comeing from the core then refit the hose.
Top up the water, put the cap on and take the car for a quick 2 minuit spin round the block, this will remove any air left, turn off the engine and allow to stand for 10 minutes, then remove the cap gently and top up your water, refit the cap and run the engine till opperating temp and fan cuts in, then let stand over night, check the water level in the morning when cold, top up if nessesary, now you should be ok.
