Each day I have to re-adjust my computers date because it seems to advance a couple of days each time I turn on my computer however,it does not alter the time at all.
I know that sometimes a time and date will change backwards if your battery needs replacing but, what makes it advance a couple of days.
Any help will be gratefully apreciated, thank you.

could be the battery, but also double check your properties on the clock for what region it thinks you are in. Its could be syncing the time with a server, but if it thinks you are in a different time zone it will change the time accordingly.

the only thing i can think of is a glitch in your BIOS, this generally happens if you leave a floppy disk or CD-Rom in the drive when you re-boot, find out what kind of bios you have and find a boot flash utility, write it to a floppy and re-boot with the floppy in the drive, make sure you have completely scanned the floppy for viruses, spyware, ad-ware and all the rest.

DIRE WARNING: re-flashing the BIOS is DANGEROUS, you should only do this if the time is causing you serious problems, some applications do rely on a correct time i know so only under these conditions should you re-flash the BIOS, the BIOS is the life-blood of your computer, if a flash goes wrong, your computer will not even boot, i suggest you do not follow my suggestion unless you absolutely need too

Your clock is probably set to a different time zone and automatically synchronized with an internet time server. Change to the proper setting and disable the auto synchronization.

The battery is flat mate it's located on the motherboard and it is round and silver remember to replace it with an equivelent or you will screw up the bios.

The virtual Memory maybe low. Do you have to press F1 on boot-up?

This happened on my work PC & I had to get a memory upgrade for the machine.

It may be that but could just as easily be the battery.
