What if John Lennon hadn't been shot? What if the U.S. didn't win the American Revolution? What if computers had never been introduced into society? What if there was TOTAL peace in the world? I'm just wondering "what if?". If anyone can honestly answer these (and no religious crap [read the name, I don't care]), then please do, and if anyone can think of there own "what if?" questions that'd be great too.

I imagine your questions are well encompassed in Lennon's "Imagine." American Revolution: Imagine there's no country, nothing to kill or die for. Computers: Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can. Total peace: A brotherhood of man, imagine all the people sharing all the world.

What if? You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

Lennon: Then he'd have either cashed in on the 60s nostaglia of the 80s-early-90s, or have moved to a Pacific remote island to get away from it.
Revolution: then Britain would have spent a lot of time and money occupying/subduing the colonies, and a later revolt (by the 1830s at the latest) would have been successful, this time with Quebec as an ally.
no computers: hard one. does "into society" mean just home-PCs? what about bisunessm achines? even an abacus is a computer, in a way. I think some sort of computer would have been created, even if it never got any smaller than 40's style warehouse-size computers that only gov't and large business would have any use for.
Total peace: define? perhaps only a full dictatorship could provide world peace; or else an educated post-pandemic world populace of maybe 100 million. hard to see, actually.

what if Ahkenaten had never invented monotheism? there's another for you.

John Lennon would have went on to make more music and made some difference in the world. If computers wouldn't have been introduced into society then we would still be happily waiting for our "snail" mail and people would be more personal than they are now. If there was total peace in the world I think we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves!!!

What if Dr. Martin Luther King hadn't been shot?
What if JFK hadn't been shot?
What if people minded their own business and didn't worry about everyone else's sexuality and race?
