2. It has shown that mercenaries -- also called "security contractors" -- will have significant roles in future wars, of which there will undoubtedly be many. A singular demonstration that outsourcing to free enterprise is unbeatable.
3. It has provided an unequaled focus for many previously aimless young desperados, now training to be experts in roadside bombs among other modern tactics of warfare. They are the next-generation recruits for the security companies. Great foresight.

Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag-burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades. Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq, and any other country we are currently in, serves two purposes:
1. It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support, and
2 it is intended to discourage American citizens.

There are multiple things that have been positive. but the biggest and most important is the fact that the USA has shown the WORLD that we are sick of the terorist BS. and will not run and hide like most of the world does.
