im planning to upgrade my pc, and I really want to upgrade the video card for better 3d graphics....here are my system information

Operating System: Windows Xp Professional (5.1 Build 2600)
System Manufacturer: ECS
System Model: P4M800-M7
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.66Ghz
Memory: 256 mb ram ( but im going to buy 512 mb ram) so it will sum up my memory to 768 mb ram
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c

.......right now im using 32mb S3G Unichrome Pro IGP video card, and i want to upgrade it... i want to know what is the best video card for my pc's capabilities...

Your motherboard supports 8X AGP. Here are some options:
Cheap= 7300GS AGP, 7300GT AGP
Better= 7600GS AGP
Faster and expensive cards may require a power supply upgrade and could just be bottlenecked by your current processor.

Im assuming you have an AGP slot for your video card.
www.newegg.com is an exceptional source for computer upgrading with very good prices.
I would recommend upgrading your system ram to atleast 1GB. That in itself will have a significant effect on your computer's performance.
Secondly, When deciding on a video card make sure that your power supply atleast meets or exceeds that of the graphic card requirements . That is very important.
A graphics card with atleast 256mb ddr 3 ram with put you current with any type of pc games , movies, photos or any graphic demanding applications. If you have the funds I would recommend a card with 512mb ddr3 ram which will keep you current for atleast a few years. Good luck with your upgrade. MORE RAM IS BETTER!
