I used one in a car which I bought used from the son of a man who passed away. I thought that maybe the car was sitting there from some weeks and using it is a good idea. I used VALVOLINE brand though CRC also makes it. Any comments? Or should Put one more at 10,000KM?

It clearly says not to overdo it. I forgot the actual words but it does say to repeat it if the problem is not fully solved but it says no more than X times before certain changes

The previous answerers are right Fuel Injector Cleaners and gas both do have detergents in them. However, Fuel Injector Cleaners have certain chemicals in them that help clean the gas tank. They also help the gas burn more efficiently which in turn improves your mpg. You are supposed to use Fuel Injector Cleaners every other fill up to help these problems(cleaning gas tank and helping gas burn better).

Hope this helps!!

Yes of course ! Regular use of low quality gas and not adhering to a good car maintenance schedule can considerably enhance the buildup of harmful carbon deposits. Injectors function to spit a mist of atomized fuel under pressure into the cylinders of your internal combustion engine. It is important that this spray of atomized fuel comes out of the injector in the correct pattern; a typical evenly distributed conical spray. The flow test is used to check the spray pattern of a fuel injector.

before you add injector cleaner to your tank, find out if your fuel injectors have a saturated coil. meaning the fuel passes through and saturates the coil winding. If they do then stay away from fuel injector cleaners, the chemicals are made to break down varnish, which is left behind from the gasoline.
the coil winding is coated in varnish to help protect it from malfunction and to prolong the life of the injector. when the varnish caoting is dissolved this leaves the coil wires exposed to contamination and they basically begin to decompose causing the injector to malfunction and become inoperable over time. All GM multech injectors have saturated coils, some Bosch, Nikki, Nippin-Denso, and Siemens. The detergents that the major companies put in gas is enough to keep you fuel system clean. If your injectors are dirty and need to be cleaned send them out to professionals, usually turn around is same day. and the sevice runs anywhere from 15.00- 20.00 per injector. check out www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com they have a entire catalog online so you can look up your application to find the injectors you need.

it wont hurt so long as you don't try running too much. basically its just a mix of the detergents the oil companies already add to gas

I've heard mechanics say don't bother with that crap it doesn't work. Then again I've seen other mechanics selling it in their shops. I personally don't use it and don't believe it's necessary because gas has detergents in it already.

I have had mixed results with them let alone use it twice. If it is running well I would not.
