Thank you for this question. I am a Christian and i am praying every day that Madeleine is found alive and well - in fact i see it as a duty.
It may not please the anti McCanns, but the whole Christian thing is real and prayer is certainly very powerful. The power of prayer , or the will of God is certainly being a comfort and a healer for Kate and Gerry. We also have to remember that this is months after she was taken. At least i believe that she was taken.
I can well understand people saying that if their child was taken, that nothing would stop them being frightened and emotional. I won't argue with that, but remember......God is a healer! And prayer is very powerful.
The reason why Madeleine has not been returned as a result of prayer? There are three answers to any prayer:

1. Yes. 2. No. 3. Not yet.

It is God's will that will determine the outcome of any prayer.
One thing that we can be sure of....He loves every one of us, although sometimes we don't see it.

Everyone is praying for the McCanns to be calm and composed? I think God is a bit mixed up because I thought everyone was praying for the safe return of Madeleine. I can just picture God sitting in heaven going 'Hmmm, can't be bothered letting them find Madeleine alive. I'll make the McCanns composed instead and then the people will be satisfied.'

I do have faith..and I'm a firm believer in Prayer Power...however NOTHING would stop or control a mothers anguish and total despair at the thought of someone having abducted her child !
The bizarre issue for me in the McCann case is that they keep saying over and over again about how confident they are that she could still be alive......BUT surely if you believe that then the despair in my opinion would be even greater..as every time you closed your eyes the thoughts of what she may be going through would be enough to send you crazy...especially if she is at the hands of a pedophile.....that would be your worse nightmare.....and as a mother myself and a christian....NOTHING could disguise my pain and grief...absolutely NOTHING !

More than likely they would have prepared themselves for this interview beforehand (seems the ony condition the mccann's will agree to have an interview). they've had alot of practice since 3 may. possibly trying to do damage control after kate's parents did that interview.

oh yes, lets change the innocent till proved guilty excuse with the religion excuse. the religion wont save them, if they are so religious why they left their kids alone to go to the booze? They turned into religious because it looks great for the press. Also, they are doctors and wonderful actors. Your question is 'ludicrous'

soothsayer your talkin rubbish as usual is there a single post where you dont bring someone down or question there character when they question your blinkered beliefs.
how can anyone with mental health issues be able to diagnose themselves and remedy theses said issues you really are deluded, thats why we have specialists and trained mental health workers to diagnose and remedy these issues as you put it surely the mccanns are not trained mental health experts an top of everything else???

I don't beleive that at all, and I think they were not as devout as they are now.
Seriously there cannot be all that many praying for them anymore, Madeleine yes, the parents no.
