When I was there about 5 years ago it was lovely and untouched, for the most part, by tourism, apart from a couple of hotels and dive schools. The seafront promenade was perfect!

Is it still like this or has it turned in to Sharm Mark 2?

Thanks!

I was there 2 days ago. It isn't Sharm but it is very popular especially when there are festivals here in Egypt i.e Eid. It has been built up again since the bombs went off there. It is still a popular place but definately not as commercialised as Sharm.

Dahab is not Sharm Mark 2, never will be like this but has now become more popular & more resident population. More hotels, dive schools & residential properties than 5 years ago, every day in Tourist areas you will find development & construction work taking place.
The seafront is very small in comparison to other areas & now very crowded in high season because very popular with divers.

Keep quiet about it and it will remain a hidden gem only for those who know.
