Normal ovulation occurs (on a 28day cycle) approximately 10-14 days after the FIRST day of your last period and as long as 16 days after. Generally right in the middle!
You would be ovulating right about now then. Some signs of ovulation are a localised pain similar to period pain but not as bad on either the left or right side depending on which ovary the egg is being released from. Also your cervical mucus (CM) can change to an egg-white type colour and consistency. If you are charting your temp every morning before getting out of bed you would notice a small rise (between 3-6 degrees) on the days you are ovulating. You can also use ovulation predictor kits similar to pregnancy tests where you just pee on the stick and it will tell you yes or no. When you get the yes, you should be most fertile for the next 24hrs or so.

There are lots of ways to see if you are ovulating, One way is track your cervical mucus. A few days before you ovulate it will become clear and stretchy similar to a raw egg white. And you can use a ovulation calender I love the one at www.babyhopes.com Also you can track her basal body temp when she is gonna ovulate it will get a little higher. Also you should have her husbands sperm count checked. And also after you has sex you should lay on her back with a pillow under her hips for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the sperm to pool against her cervix.

from my personal experience i have a normal cycle and i thought i ovulates but i don't i have symptoms on each ovary but they do not come out.I realize that around ovulation time I would swell up and feel pressure and by touching it was a hard feeling because it does not making no further than that and that creates a sac filled with fluid and that makes it hard ;as far as the cervical mucus if you produce good quality and only do it around ovulation you are good to go because if you produce it throughout your cycle it could be pcos but hopefully you don't do it and you can also chart good luck
