It seems some openings will happen in the head coach position at major schools. Two I immediately think of are Nebraska and Texas A&M. Who do you think is in line for these positions. And has Lloyd Carr saved his job?

I think Lloyd Carr will retire. If Fulmer doesnt turn things around in Tennessee fast he will be gone. Same thing for Nutt in Arkansas. Carroll might bolt back to the NFL because of what is happening to USC right now.

Well, Lloyd Carr still has to go to work this season, with road games at MSU and Wisconsin and at home vs OSU. So let's wait and see how Michigan do there (I hope they win out).
Charlie Weis of Notre Dame is a candidate. I think this season is a little bit too high a tuition for Irish fans.
Miami Florida should think over their coaching staff too.

The favorite to replace Bill Callahan at Nebraska is Bo Pelini, the defensive coordinator at LSU. Pelini was the defensive coordinator for the Cornhuskers in 2003.

I think Offensive Coordinator Joker Phillips- University of Kentucky would be a great person to fill either one of those jobs.
