The McCanns are not normal. There is something very suspicious about them. I've said it from day one

No. First I will panic then contact the police so they get on the search to find my child and also have some media coverage on it.
Something isn't right about these people. Who knows they could be involved with their daughter's disappearance. I mean, what parent in their right mind will be so calm about this? Or they could be mentally ill. Either way the police should look to them as suspects.

Hi news2me2
yes i read that at my friends house this morning. he also stated that they were not at tactile when they were alone as they were infront of the cameras. there were no signs of affection away from the cameras. and for those who said that tennis would have been a way to get rid of his anger, then surely going out and using energy to LOOK for his daughter would have been better??
my oldest son when he was six was playing at a friends house and they both wandered away and were missing for an hour. during that hour i was in tears. i couldnt think straight and was running all over the place looking for them. i was actually sick with worry. landed up they were playing on a building site....typical boys.
Very strange couple indeed. It has been said about Kate many times in many papers that she has mental health problems, which is nothing to be ashamed of but maybe worth looking into as it was also said that she could not cope with Maddy as she was a hyperactive child. who else that only works two days a week needs a full time nanny?
edit....to yahooyahoo.......so why do you believe anything nice that is said about them? works both ways.

No way! I probably wouldn't even be able to get up out of bed, I would be completely numb! I wouldn't be able to sleep, eat, shower, get dressed, or anything.
I agree with the waiter from the story that said he would go insane, that would be my reaction for sure. My 2 year old son was "lost" one day for only 10 minutes and I was going crazy. I was running around outside my house, looking everywhere, screaming his name, crying, I was literally shaking all over. My neighbors came running over, they probably thought someone was being murdered!! I thought he had snuck out of the house and was lost outside, but turns out he was hiding under my bed the whole time, the little stinker!!! Even after finding him it took me hours to calm down.
It does not look good for them to be organizing tennis games when their daughter was missing. Even if they are responsible for harming her, I still don't see how they could be calm. You would have to be a pretty cold person to carry on normally knowing your child is dead and you are responsible. This case is so strange.

his job helped him through this trying time
he removed his own heart so that he could appear composed on camera (and off by all accounts)
unfortunately it resulted in him forgetting that his daughter was more important than a silly ball game
it also helped him make flippant remarks on his trip to US about the size of his garden
perhaps someone should suggest he gets it put back in soon if he wants to appear at some point as a caring dad
or perhaps he could follow the yellow brick road along with his supporters to see the wizard of oz
the wiz could be their new PR consultant (he fooled everyone in Oz for years.................)

Yeah, it kind of cocks up the O'Brien and Tanner story. Kind of backs up G's story. We Think what the McCanns did is wrong, but surely to god the fact these other people left not only a child but a child that was vomitting is either hideously mean, or completely untrue. *** CHARBURKER: I have noticed this comment about her being white made by you more than once. I don't know what country you are in but here in the UK a lot of headline times was taken up by the tragic deaths of Damilola Taylor and Victoria Climbie, both similarly high profile cases to Madeleines disappearance. I don't beleive for one minute that this has had the coverage it has because of the colour of her skin. If you've got an issue then please ask straight out whether we only care about white kids dying and stop making snidy little comments in place of answers.

And I would be distraught too! cant imagine ever doing normal things, but to be fair it would be impossible to cry 24hrs a day 7 days a week! maybe he arranged it to release some anger or distract his mind for an hour or so, and the wine, that probably helped them sleep.
Whatever has happened and whoevers fault it is, they must be devastated (no one could enjoy losing a child) and something they will have to live with forever will be people saying they should or shouldn't have acted this way or that. I dare say for that reason one day one or both of them will write a book !
I have my own theories on what happened but I still have every sympathy for them

Are you kidding? First I'd be terrified. Then I'd realize that being terrified doesn't get my kid back, so I'd move on to working my butt off trying to find my kid. And I wouldn't do much of anything else until my kid was found.

Sounds like yet another case of parents killing their children and playing it cool to deflect their guilt. I can't imagine any other way a parent could show no emotion like that.

Its absolutely horrifying. Sounds like an act, to look normal, knowing what happened the night of May 3rd, in the apartment.
