I'm a college sophie. I joined the basketball varsity because of my love of the sport and its benefits especially the scholarship. It was just last June then I ran into a problem because my teammates are lesbians (I'm a girl) and two of them likes me. One time one of them asked me if I've got a boyfriend. I said yes even if I didn't have one then that teammate commented "good thing I didn't court you because you're already taken". I freaked out and left the team but I really want to play ball. My dad, after knowing about it, won't allow me to go back to the team.

I want to go back but fear tells me not to. HELP!

Being around lesbians is not going to turn you into a lesbian, so just forget any thoughts about that. You have to make it clear that you are not interested in any kind of romantic involvement with these women, but be nice about it. They can handle it fine. It won't be the first time someone's said "no thanks" to them. As far as other women being attracted to you, that's really not your problem since it's nothing you caused to happen. Lesbians are attracted to women. It's normal for them. So let that be that. You and your father need to talk all this over again. In the meantime, you need to educate yourself about homosexuality. Go to your school's library and do some research.

Wow that's the first, interesting. I say play forget the girls and their lesbo thing, just thank god u r not a guy b/c if u had to, taking showers w/ other naked gay guys (which I don't hate them) U get kinda worried for my potty hole. (lol) The girls at least in some type of way disrespected u but kinda respected u. It's not like your going to wake up the next morn. Hmmmm I'm a lesbo. Do U, u love basketball, play it, live it. Don't quite b/c of that

You shouldn't let the incident get in the way. You should put your passion above anything else. You aren't playing for your lesbian team mates, anyway. Moreover, things like that can be talked over. You shouldn't let your impulsiveness overpower your love for basketball.

Anyway, you can just teach me how to play basketball because it is my PE for 2nd sem! Haha. :)

If you quit the team you may run the risk of losing your scholarship. If it becomes a huge problem, let the coach know.

don't let these hinder you for your love of the game. Just act in a way that your teammates won't get intimidated

Follow your heart. If you really want to play, then continue playing but if you really want to quit, then quit.

hope this helps! :P
