It depends on your place or locations. Some says Manila area got higher pays around P350.00/day or more unlike on Visayas and Mindanao area, the minimum pay was only P245/day. If he/she is working on there respective area, then they don't need to pay for an apartment not unless they own a house of their own. But some cannot afford an apartment especially those single one, they always stay on boarding rooms or stay-in.

1.The average family income is P127,000 yearly, based on National Statistics Office data:
http://www.census.gov.ph/data/pressrelease/2007/ie06tx.html
2 The Philippine population is 88.7 million, with an average household size of 5. Thus, there are 17,740,000 households in the Philippines.
3. Based also on NSO data, there are 33,546,000 employed Filipinos, and 7,216,000 underemployed Filipinos. Thus, a total of 40,762,000 income earners.
4. Based on items 2 & 3, there would be an average of 2.3 income earners per household.
5. Thus, if the average household income is P172,000.00 yearly, the resulting average income per person, yearly, is P74,782.61, or P6,231.88 per month. This is roughly US$142 per income earner per month.
Of course, as averages go, a lot of the income earners earn much less than this average. And a very few would earn several thousand times more than these averages.
The average dwelling is either an "entresuwelo" or an old apartment structure. That is the de facto average because the Philippines is predominantly DE class, the very poor.

The averages do not mean anything because they also take into account the farmers and cigarette vendors. Those who work in offices now start at P12,000 per month. Even some drivers get paid that salary if they have been driving for their bosses for some time.
A friend of mine who is the CEO of a just-started Philippine operation of a multinational company has a packaged compensation of P9 million net-of-tax a year. ( I know, because he was being offered another job with the same salary so he just refused). His secretary receives P65,000 per month, with a guaranteed bonus of 3 months every year.

I would guess if you average all the salaries of every Filipino ... not just the ones living in metro Manila then the average could be around 5,000 pesos a month x 12 months = 60,000 a year (roughly 1400 USD a year)
Depressing but that's life in a corrupt third world country.
