most of the players on both rosters are considered smaller by most college div 1 standards but both have several players 6'4 and 290 lbs the army rosters has a couple guys over 300 lbs and one guy Chris Taylor 6'4 360lbs
The reason most of the top college football players avoid the service academies, army, navy, air force is the 4 year commitment they have to make after graduation. david robinson had to petition the navy for a special discharge so he could go to the nba

No, however at West Point, all students must meet the Army height and weight standard by the time they Commission (at graduation). This is hardest for the football players because they from the end of football season, until May to become with-in standard.

Excellent question. Most people are unaware that the reason the army and navy football teams are so bad is that they have to recruit small players. All army and navy personel must be able to fit in a submarine or fighter cockpit.

No...The military has a strong workout requirement obviously...but the difference is, the members of the military academies are there as students training to become officers more than as athletes training to be football players...
