I say take Calcium and vitamins. Helped erase all my painful periods. I had periods so bad I went into deep depression...couldn't walk, vomited all day and thought I was going to die. The Calcium was a blessing.

Secondly, see your doc about birth control (even if you dont have sex) so your periods are less each year. I could take 4 Advil and drink tequila and NOTHING helped. I take Vitamin E, Calcium and Zinc and am pain free. God bless!

Its a woman's gift, periods are the worst thing ever for some and no problem at all for others. I fall into your category unfortunately and have had terrible period pains each month since I was 14 and am now 46 (sorry, no help to you) and I have a son aged 21 so giving birth didn't help either for me. I couldn't take birth control pills as they gave me high blood pressure. The best thing is Ibuprofen which you say you don't really want. I found Buscopan a great help, they relieve the cramping pain, its supposed to be for irritable bowel but seems to work on period pains too. I find the stick on heat pads are very helpful as well. But it could also be you are carrying a lot of water, so maybe a few days before your period is due, try taking some type of diuretic which will relieve the fluid and reduce the pain. Good luck.

Oh, I had the very same thing for years. Finally, my Dr. gave me a prescription for 800mg Motrin. I would have to take it before I even got out of bed, but it worked great and no bad side effects! Yes, birth control pills will also help slow things down and eliminate the cramping. Oh, I remember those days. Bless your heart. Hope you feel better soon.

Yaz. havent you seen the comercial?? theres a doctor on it and she uses all these technical terms that i cant remember .. or repeat for that matter. but its a birth control that helps with "that" time of the month. i used to have rele bad cramps every other month. just one ovary gave me problems. i started taking that maybe 3 or 4 months back .. and ive been fine the whole time.

Hi! Sounds like something that my 15 yr. old neice has experienced. Just not with all those tests. She is on birth control pills, and it has helped her cycle improve-so she isn't in all that pain and discomfort.
Please, talk with your dr. asap about getting on the pill. I wish you the best. Take care.

I went thru this myself years ago and had to go and get several opinions before I found a doctor who would help me out and find the cause of my problems which turned out to be as a result of endometriosis. I would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctor that you currently use.

I would try an herbal suppliment. There are plants out there that women have used for thousands of years for PMS and pains
