I have a cast on from 3 surgeries I had 2 weeks ago. I just got my cast changed for the 2nd time on Friday and I can see down into it and it is bleeding alot. The cast smells horrible too after only 4 days. The incision is about 6 inches long. What should I do?

a foul smell from a cast is indicative of an infection...with the signs that you are presenting, i say it's really serious. you have to go to the nearest hospital and have it consulted before complications occur. ;-)

GO and see your physician IMMMEDIATELY !
You should not be bleeding .... the foul smell on the cast could be a sign of infection too.
See your physician ASAP !

Get yourself to the hospital ASAP! You should not be bleeding nor have an odor. There is a problem.

I would certainly go and see about it. If they tell you its normal then fine, but I certainly wouldn't just leave it.

Call your physician without delay. You should not be bleeding. This can be serious. DO NOT DELAY!!!!
