Its alright poster #3, the point is that I'm looking for stereotypes, how southerners are portrayed by holywood and how that effects how other americans see southerners. So now worrys.

Giant
Heart of Dixie (1989)
Driving Miss Daisy
A Streetcar Named Desire
Skeleton Key
Sweet Home Alabama
Hush
The Last Picture Show
Texasville
Nadine
In the Heat of the Night
To Kill a Mockingbird

Ghosts of Mississippi
Fried Green Tomatoes
Hud
Sweet Bird of Youth (film and TV movie)
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

A number of these are "Hollywood South", and I'm not sure how much can be trusted about how they show Southern culture. I'm certain that a number would be considered inaccurate by Southerners.

Most any civil war pic. "Andy Grifith TV Shows", "Designing
Women TV Shows", "Gone With The Wind", that submarine movie with Denzel Washinton from the 90's, where he plays second in command(the sub is named the Alabama), I think its called the Crimson Tide. I don't know why I have a block in remembering the name of the lead actor. He's the guy who plays popeye in that "French Connection" movie. The there are the
"Alamo" movies, so many of them from Disney and John Wayne did one years ago.
