She's asserting her value and nothing more. It's reverse psychology, translation; "I challenge you to go after me." If you respond to this by taking what she said literally, she could be all over you."

Learn to earn before you approach her. I.e., be a responsible adult, breadwinner, rather than a "Lothario." If she's not able to give constructive criticism, lots of good encouragement/praise, and respect for your masculine role, those could be relational problems as well.
"Sexual Force or the Winged Dragon," O. M. Aivanhov, is a good book on the topic.
cordially,
j.

means she is full of ego and full of complicity issues that even herself does not understand it.
it means you have to work much harder in order just to get to know her.
it means all she ever will do is take and take everything you have got emotionally.
and once a while she might through a bone towards you.
sorry to say it but if nothing has happened between you 2 yet do not waist your time.
she will break your heart more than you can count

It could literally mean that she's high maintanace, needs a lot of attention, looking for a "sugar daddy," or is known to be mentally unstable.
On the other hand, it could be a polite ploy to throw off your advances because she's not interested in you.

She's a high-maintenance chic; may be very moody; may not like staying in one place too long...she could have meant any number of things...but before trying to be with her, I would really try to find out EXACTLY what she meant.

did she spit it at you or comment in a reluctant self pitying way?... what did you say b4 hand to spark such a reply ... if i was to say 'I'm hard work' i would be referring well the only time i would say that sentence would be if i believed the other to be incapable of... something - in girl language negative 'self' statements generally are a attempt at soothing the male ego.

it means she's hard work and it would be better if you stayed away from her.

I think she's just insecure. I used to say that to men because i was scared.-- Scared of rejection i would get if he found out how i was really like, & didn't like it. I don't know. Pretty much a lot of inner issues!

Its means that her expectations on relationships are pathalogically unrealistic.
If you enjoy pain and unpleasantness for occasional gratification, she might be the one for you.
