so yeah, last saturday, there was this 2 to 3 year old toddler who came over to my house since his mom is a friend of my mom's. so i was kinda bored and came over to watch him play and decided to play toy cars with him on the rocks surrounding my fish pond. so when i was playing with him, he suddenly came close to me and placed both his hands onto my shoulders and i don't know if he wanted to give me a hug or if he was about to fall and needed support.

i catched him and said "wow! wow! wow!" thinking at that point of time he was about to lose his balance and fall or something. so i can't figure out what that cute little kid was trying to do. but anyway, i feel so touched and started to feel motherly the whole time i was with him. so is that good or bad for a 14 yr old kid who before this thinks that toddlers and babies are troublesome and irritating?

He bonded with you, and you certainly bonded with him.
You made a good little friend, I would say.

Its good that you felt this way. You are growing into a mature young lady.

I use to be in love with babies and toddlers when I was your age too, I however, knew that there was no way I wanted a kid at the time. It's not sooo bad to have the "motherly" instinct....but just know that you DON'T need or want a baby!

It is your motherly instinct, all women have it, some just don't notice it till later. Even at 22 I still don't want kids, but I am AMAZED when I see a kid I really think is adorable. Because when coworkers bring in their kids I go "awww". But that is a common response from me, I don't feel anything like the way I do it when I see a cute puppy or kitten.
