in resident evil umbrella chronicles, is it just a shooting game, or will you still have to solve puzzles and be able to run around and explore freely like in the other resident evil video games? like find keys to open doors and stuff like that? because if its just aim and shoot (on the Wii with the Wii remote), well that could be boring!

Maybe you will think it is boring, but all the people who spend countless hours playing and replaying Time Crisis and House of the Dead games would disagree.
RE:UC is an on-rails shooter in the same vein as those games, with a few key differences.
Firstly, you'll have more direct control over branching paths. In most rail shooters, what path you take on the relatively rare branching paths is seemingly random, and usually based on your score at that point. In RE:UC, there will be a lot of branching paths and if you want to go through an alternate path behind a door, you blast down the door.
Secondly, you do have limited movement control, in the form of turning with the Nunchuk stick. This is primarily used to look around pillars for ammo for your bigger guns as well as herbs.

You have to travel through familiar locales from the Resident Evil series as you slay hordes of undead in this on-rails shooter optimized for the Wii Zapper.

It like Resident Evil Dead Aim (great game).... still have to do all the fun stuff but the shooting and fighting is more realistic.

It's just a shooter, a "rail-shooter" to be exact, using the new Wii Zapper. I think it's looks a bit boring, but it will probably be fun to shoot with that Zapper.
