Unless you belittle people because of pride, it is not a bad thing. There is nothing wrong with being proud of who you are, where you've been, or what you've done.

It's weird, I kinda get the same feeling you do sometimes. Even though it's a bit depressing being gay, what with all the guys I like being straight, and the general loneliness of the situation, it does make me happy sometimes just to think that I'm different, and that hopefully I'm gonna have a boyfriend someday. Maybe it's because I didn't let myself think about being gay for so long, I always reminded myself that I'd probably end up married to a woman. Now it feels like I'm being different, and I'm going to do what I always wanted to do but never even realised it. That sounds really stupid xD But yeah. The whole pride thing, I'm going to gay pride in london this year with a whole bunch of my friends, so I obviously don't see anything wrong with that. I guess the only time that having pride would be inappropriate/unwise would be in a homophobic environment. Take the last episode of glee for instance, I like Kurt, but he took it a bit too far with his skirt. He didn't see the backlash coming from his school, but I found myself agreeing with the other characters that it shouldn't be that surprising seeing as Kurt basically rubbed it in everyone's faces. I don't know if any of that made sense, but yeah :P

Pride is a bad thing when you find out you were wrong about something you said to a person, but you are too proud to admit it.

When it causes you to either "do" or "not do" something that in the end will make you unhappy. "Pride" can sometimes be ones downfall that way. Never take yourself so "seriously" that you can not overcome pride. A little bit of humility goes a long a way in life......

When "flaming-drama-queer-guys" display themselves all over the public view during the Gay Pride thing they do...

-(I know great people whom are gay or lesbians and they never behave so low and so insulting... Those people make a really bad name for those cool and so respectable gay and lesbian people out there... I know, they've told me so.)-

When it comes with "joy." I don't like Stevie Ray Vaughann's song "Pride and Joy."
