and so say i delete a question that had a star will i lose the star as well? sorry i just started and i'm tryin to figure it all out

Stars mean you think the question is interesting, it is also a way to keep track of a question that you are interested in but didnt answer. On your profile you can click on Starred Questions and that way you dont have to search for it.

The only thing I have figured out is that it lets the person know who wrote the question, that we think the question is a good one.
