Hillary's recent statements about "the war on science" that Bush and others are making; and how she would put an end to it. Is a declaration for HER government, to step in and DICTATE what scientist and philosophers THINK?
The so called "war on science", was coined by some scientist who are losing a scientific debate with other scientist. Because the debate has touched on possible religious issues.
So Hillary, thinks SHE should step in, with the power of the government and decide what is science and what it isn't? Or that HER government should take sides in the debate and outlaw the scientist on the other side?
I say, BOO to Hillary Clinton, for this proclamation. What do you say?

Hilary is obviously taken the side of the, "the national academy of science", which along with some other institutions, are trying to dictate what (all) scientist should think and say. Only the clueless, arn't aware of this fact!

This administration has edited their own government's reports about global warming to keep America from being faced with just how dire a situation we're facing; Blocked funding for potentially life saving stem cell research even though Congress and the American people overwhelmingly support it; And publicly disputed the fact that Terri Schiavo was in a persistent vegitative state in spite of the diagnosis of her own and the vast majority of doctors (Guess what diagnosis remained as a result of her autopsy? - Yes, Virginia; She WAS a vegetable!) - And these are just a few examples I could come up with off the top of my head!

The point? The one who have been losing the scientific DEBATE for years are the Bushies! But they're still winning THEIR WAR on science because they're in power - But that lasts until January 2009. When Hillary is elected; Science will not only have won the debate, But AMERICA will have won the war.

Hillary Clinton should not mix science with politics just like mixing it with religion because there will be confusion and the people might get the wrong perception of her platform of government.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

Hilary Clinton doesn't know who she is. It's not just this country but the ENTIRE world that is headed for disaster if she is sworn in office.

God forbid. Not everything Bush has done has been great but Hilary is going to do far greater damage.

Overall. Hilary is just bad news, regardless of what kind administration and legistlation she will hold. She's only going to involve MORE government interaction which is something America is crippling under.

The more power you give the government (whether it's banning smoking at certain places, regulating your internet privacy, etc. etc) everyone is going to lose.

Yes - she is modern day Hitler and Stalin wrapped up with a hideous bundle of sewer rats. Thank goodness she will not win the primary and we will not experience another White House debacle.

I don't think Hillary is trying to dictate what scientists think or say -- in fact, he intent seems to be quite the opposite.

This is one of the few areas that she is actually taking a liberal stance -- saying that the govt should NOT tell scientists what to say, and should not pick and choose what science it wants to support based purely on political agendas.

She seems -- based on her words -- to support the freedom of science to explore and comment on whatever it wants -- which is the direct opposite of controlling science or being thought police.

But if you had quotes of hers that indicate something to the contrary -- those would be useful in evaluating all of her statements, to see if she is being inconsistent.
