My answer: probably things we cannot even conceive of right now. Who knows what leaps we might make? And from there we will see advancements beyond our present imagination.
I would guess that in the future humans will live much, much longer.
And another possibility is the concept of the "technological singularity". If you havn't checked this out just google it and read an article about it. It will blow your mind!

I agree that we probably cannot even fathom it at this point in time.
My guess would be a new man-made material, or some huge jump in nano-technology.
Maybe (hopefully) an advancement in renewal energy??
