And I think either Fred MacMurray or Dick Van Dyke, not sure on this, is a agent or something on those lines. And he's trying to get an actress recognized in her home town. I don't remember much about it. I saw it on TV, years ago when I was a kid. I thought the girl was Ingrid Bergman, but now I'm not so sure.
I dozed off a few minutes ago & this movie flashed in my head. Now it's going to drive me nuts the rest of the night. I googled it, but nothing sounded familiar, I also checked Turner Classic Movies, that didn't ring any bells.
Does anyone else have an idea, what movie this might be? it was a black & white. Somewhere between 1940 thru maybe 1958.

It is entitled "Miracle of the Bells" with Frank Sinatra, Fred MacMurray, Lee J. Cobb, and Alida Valli as the ingenue actress who returns to her home town.
I believe the movie was released somewhere around 1948.
Now maybe you can go back to sleep?!
