Does anyone else love the movie "The Labyrinth"?
I've been trying to find it, I haven't watched in years, but no one has ever heard of it. I finally found it and it's still great! Does anyone else think so?

It's a Cult Classic. That movie brings back some memories, but My favorite fantasy type movies from that era were The "Never Ending Story" ATREYU!!!
and later "The Princess Bride".

I've always been a fan of "Labyrinth" (no "The"). Actually, it shares a videotape with "Legend" and "Ladyhawke" so that I have a fantasy film marathon whenever I want it. Yes, I very much love this Jim Henson production with all of its details and sense of wonder.
Besides, once you have seen David Bowie as Jareth... *SIGH* I call that instant addiction!
I must admit that I never expected Jennifer Connelly to have the persistence in acting that she has shown, and she truly blossomed into a fine actress~an Oscar-winning one! A film of hers I also like is "The Rocketeer", and she is one of the bravest ladies in the industry to do a film such as "Requiem for a Dream".
I love "Dark Crystal", too! I have a woodsbaby made by Midsummers Knight's Dream's creations~a male Celtic woods faerie that people always claim looks like Jen, the star of "Dark Crystal". Actually, my "pet" looks nothing like him, especially because Jen doesn't have wings, yet it's nice to know that so many people remember the film. Maybe they'll go back and watch it just to see whether or not my shoulder-sitting fellow looks like that cute little critter.

I think it actually has a cult like following.
I saw a guy on Halloween dressed as David Bowie from that movie and it was great. I also met a group of girls that had the soundtrack and sang along with all the songs.

Wow.. I don't know anyone that doesn't know it.. they even just released the new Anniversary double disk set a few months ago.. (I had 3 copies of the regular one.. but still paid the $20 to get the new set).. I love that movie.
I also recommend MirrorMask if you like this one.. The Jim Henson (who made labyrinth) teamed up with Neil Gaiman (does alot of dark fantasy comics and books) with amazing results.

One of my favorite movies along with "Dark Crystal." If you ever get the chance, you might also like "MirrorMask" which was written by Neil Gaiman....bit foreign at times, but very good movie.
