Any tips on options for a leaky intake manifold gaskets on a 1970-71 Ford Torino 351C 4-barrel heads

Odd -- this is not a common problem with these engines. The only option you have is to pop off the manifold and replace the gaskets. If the manifold is warped, (possibly someone has replaced the original with aluminum) the faces will have to be planed level and thick, performance gaskets installed. A leaky intake will burn a valve and/or a piston.

Is the engine in the car (awkward) or out on a bench (easier)?Lots of gasket goo and more hands to help get the manifold back on.

The only way to fix this problem is to replace the gasket. Two to three hours at a service centre. Good luck.
