Always remember, Spring Ahead, Fall Behind. So in October, when it is usually 6am, after the time changes, it will be 5am----because you fell behind one hour

my mom always said to remember it is "Spring forward and Fall back". It will get dark sooner now but in the morning for the school =kids it will be light an hour earlier. that is the only thing I like about it. right now it is dark at 7:00am and though my kids are grown I worry about others going to their buses. It goes back on Sat. so you lose an hours sleep Sunday am

The general rule to this is, "Spring "Forward" and Fall "Back". In other words, in the Spring set your clock forward one hour, and in the Fall (or Autumn) set it back one hour.

You set your clock ahead 1 hour. So 7pm becomes 8pm, thus it stays light longer.
Why the heck are you people giving me thumbs down for my answer above? It's correct. I'm not saying anything disagreeable.
