I'm not even sure if I'm pregnant yet, I'd be about 4 or 5 weeks now. Anyhow, my only "symptom" so far is nausea. I'm playing the waiting game right now, and I'm not so sure that I want to run out so soon and get a test. My period is only 4 days late.

Anyway, the point of my question is not to ask if you think that I'm pregnant. My questions are:

Is it too early for morning sickness at what would be 4 going on 5 weeks?

And,

Does anybody have any remedies?

I personally like saltine crackers, ginger pills and hot ginger tea. These were very helpful to me during my pregnancies :) It has been my experience that 4 or 5 weeks is not too early for morning sickness. I would start getting morning sickness about the time my period would normally be due.

I would say that 4 to 5 weeks is too soon for morning sickness. ususally that happens in your 3rd month or so. You might have jumbled nerves or a touch of the flu, it could be stress as well. Try some 7up, sprite or ginger ale and some saltine crackers. That should help some. If you are still late come next week I would go get a pregnancy test dear just to ease your mind. If you are pregnant, I hope it's a happy event for you, if it's not, I wish you the best of luck. Take care and God Bless.

I had bad morning sickness around that time, but by the time I got the prescription, the nausea was gone.
I always recommend ZOFRAN. It is a wonder drug that your doc can prescribe. Even with insurance I think it was about $40 for me, though.
It takes away nausea with no side effects.

If you just want to treat the nausea naturally, I'd recommend that you eat more hard fruits and veggies, like carrots, celery, apples. I like sliced peeled fresh cucumber with salt, limejuice, and hot sauce (tapatio, to be specific!). Some people think cucumber in general helps nausea.

Immotility can really aggravate nausea. Your body moves food through your body much slower once you get pregnant, so you need the fiber to keep the stuff moving. It really helps.

Ginger supposedly helps nausea. Altoids makes a strong ginger lozenge now. Ginger ale is yummy too...maybe you crave it right now anyway.
You can also grate some fresh ginger into some homemade fried rice.

Make sure you don't go hungry, and keep some crackers around.

It wouldn't be too early for morning sickness. The best thing you can do is to get out of bed slowly, take your time. Maybe even keep some saltine crackers by your bed. Water may help too. Instead of eating 3 large meals. Eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. Avoiding spicy foods sometimes helps too. If you expierience it more at night then sometimes it helps to not eat very late. A healthy diet can also give you a better chance of fighting off the yucky feeling. They also have these lollipops for morning sickness. I think you can buy them online. I haven't personally used them, so I can't say if they work. Hope that helps. Best of luck.

First, go get a test. You can get one at a drugstore if you don't want to go to a clinic or a doctor's office. They're fairly reliable these days. You really need to know as early as possible, so you can start taking care of yourself properly.

Second, no, it's not too early to have morning sickness. Even in the first trimester, hormonal changes can affect your body's systems, including digestion.

Third, try ginger. My niece was verrry sick through most of her pregnancy, and ginger was one of the few things she could have that helped. There's a ginger flavored Altoids candy now. It's worth a shot, anyway.

You may also try eating a light snack just before bed. Just a bit to give your stomach acids something to work on while you sleep.

But *do* see a doctor. I know it's usually not advised to take anti-emetics when you're pregnant, but your doctor may know of something safe enough to control the nausea without risking the pregnancy.

Good luck!

You may notice some pregnancy-related discomforts already. Many women report sore breasts, fatigue, and frequent urination starting in the early weeks. You may also have nausea, though it's more likely to show up in the coming weeks.

The next six weeks are critical to your baby's development. The rudimentary versions of the placenta and umbilical cord, which deliver nourishment and oxygen to your baby, are already functioning. Through the placenta, your baby is exposed to what you take into your body, so make sure it's good for both of you.

When I got nauseus, I ate some Saltines.

I am a nursing student. No, it's not to early to start having symptoms, but if it is possible that you are pregnant you should start getting prenatal care as soon as possible. But for the symptom you are having I saw someone said saltine crackers yes that is a good one also maybe some 7-up or sprite or if you have no saltine crackers try licking a little salt.

I've talked to some people who have thought they were preggers and from that time on had morning sickness all day, every day till they delivered........

The only thing I did to help alleviate sickness was hot herbal tea and saltine crackers......... I would eat a couple crackers before I got out of bed and then made my self a cup of tea, it worked every time........

Good luck
