I am just wondering. I live pretty close to the fires. Schools all around us have been canceled, but not mine. All the air smells like smoke! It looks like rain clouds. School may be concel tomorrow, but I am not sure.
I hate fires.
So has any of this affected you?

I pray for everyone who has lost their homes! It is scary evacuating, and I am glad I haven't had to (This year...)

These fires remind me of the ones in 2003. They are even on the (almost) excact dates!

They sure have and I live in Wisconsin. We have had drought this year too. The rains finally came and it makes me relax a little more. We live in the north woods of Wisconsin where it's nothing but trees.
My sisters daughter, husband and three kids live in Orange County .... Long Beach. My sister and I are planning a visit to California this year. The trip will be postponed until at least January.
Everyone has been keeping up with the news with their eyes wide open in shock. Those fires could be here.
Be careful and take care. We're all praying for you back here in Wisconsin.

Not a lot. I live pretty much right next to the beach so I havent been affected much, but my brother's school that he teaches at got cancelled and he had to evacuate. My mom who lives in San Diego had to go stay with my sister in Arizona cause the fires were so bad down there.

well actually I think this is gonna eventually affect my health cuz of all the fumes..it reeks. I feel bad for all those people that have lost their homes :( there's a lot that have been evacuated already and the fire is still going strong... damn the wind is making everything all worse :(

yeah I live in So Cal. We didn't have school taday. I was happy, but I felt kinda bad cause of the REASON why I didn't go. The hotline for San Bernaridno schools is (909) 888-5437

I'm not too close to them, but the air is so thick with smoke and ash that it's making me sick. Several people from work live near the Santa Clarita fire, I have several relatives in Ontario too. I'm worried for them.

Yes, I am close to them. Last weekend , I was post to go to softball game and they had cancelled. The fire smoke was everywhere in Southern CA. I can 't go anywhere in OC, it is so windy and damn hot for pre winter (97 degrees)

I was going to go to san diego for the weekend, but, it hardly seems like a good time to visit. I have a few relatives that are kinda threatened by the fire, but, they should be ok.

Luckily im in the middle of san diego, around clairemont. so im safe. but my family is in ramona refusing to evacuate, they insist on staying to put out the embers.

My best friends brother and his wife had to be evacuated!!! I think they are going to lose their home. How sad!!!!! They could use your prayers, all of the victims!
