The hard time after a big loss is where you grow, for one thing it is an experience in itself, after some big losses they don't hurt as much any more and then you notice that what you thought was a big loss was not really that big because you have already experienced it and came thru it. Tough times teach us Patience to. It slows us down so we enjoy the good times more. Once you learn to slow down, you will find there are alot more good times than they are bad. And there always have been its just been that you were moving to fast to see them. Those failures turn into winners because you learn what it takes to win. We humans usually have to learn the hard way don't we. Forget about those losses, it wasn't life or death and the sun will come up in the morning, and you did come thru it.

Hi friend,
I believe "failures" are major wakeup calls to us. Failures tell us 3 things: Either, 1st, we need to work harder (our efforts are not enough), 2nd, We are forcing ourselves on a line of work that doesn't really suit us & we should be trying other fields instead OR 3rd, it jolts us especially when we're becoming complacent with things. One way or the other, if we look at it from a positive perspective, it's really a stepping stone to success. It makes us stronger & more determined the next time around. How many times do you think an inventor failed before he finally got it right? Just imagine, if our inventors simply took "failures" as negatives & quit instead, we might have missed out so many technological luxuries in life. Failures hurt & it's only natural to brood over it. But it should not be long. To an optimist, a failure simply means he is getting closer to achieving his ultimate goal. Be an optimist & you'll realize that only through "failures" (as much as we don't want it to happen) can "success" be accomplished. Just like night & day, one cannot survive without the other. Why do you think success is so sweet? Because before one success comes so many failures.

Don't forget about a big loss. Just don't let it hold you back. Instead, use it to motivate you, like you said - you know you can do much better if you work harder. Do the work and then, when you look back, your big loss will no longer be a mark of failure, but it will show you how much you've improved, it will remind you that you have a lot to be proud of.

hey sweety i think u have misunderstood the saying. The saying means that if u fail, u should not feel bad about it but u should still work harder and learn from the mistakes that had been the cause for ur failure. u should try to avoid those mistakes in ur next test. if u dont go through the mistakes u made previously , you will not come to know where u r weak. (i hope u understand wat i mean to say). so if u had given a test before , and u find out that u failed to pass the test, then u go through the answers and find out where u had made mistakes and try to get the answers for the mistakes. then that will help u to know the concept better and u will succeed.
best of luk'.

Losses are always losses whether it is small or big. This saying is told to children as a consolation, when they fail. It is to give them extra encouragement to build up the lost ground. But for mature persons it need not be correct. They have to work hard and ensure that they don't fail.

Yes failures are stepping stone for success. But a success provides more stones too.
Whether failures gives you stepping stone or not, it matures you a lot and gives you more wisdom than success.
Initially you will be upset with failures but after facing many failures, you will start accepting them with a smile.
When you start accepting taking failures with smile you can consider yourself fully matured.

You can fail your way to success. Even Napoleon lost one third of all the important battles he fought.
Also
Abraham Lincoln:

Defeated in a legislative election at 22
Death of sweetheart at 26
Lost Congressional race at 34 and 36
Lost Senatorial race at 45 and 49
Lost the vice presidential post at 47
But finally
BECAME PRESIDENT OF USA AT 52

If we never fail, we will never know success. Hopefully, we learn from our mistakes, and do not repeat them in the future. Now we know what we need to do in order not to fail the next time around.
