Why are the Japanese becoming fascist again?

Seriously, what's up? Denials of World War 2 atrocities? Calls for a new military? Hyper-nationalist television shows and newspapers?

Are people crazy? Why would anyone want to rile up international tensions by denying something that happened sixty years ago? How can people be so naive and stupid, to be proud of the most destructive and heinous period of their history?

I think if Japan would own up just once to what they did, there could be forgiveness. If Japan wants to avoid being the villain for "the next 1000 years", they need to admit fault and accept blame.

Instead they deny war attrocities like forced sex camps where the women of many other asian countries were forced into sexual slavery and Japan announces that those women wanted to be there and service the Japanese soldiers.

If Japan admits to what they did instead of trying to cover up and hope everyone forgets and act so proud of thier past leaders, maybe we could move on peacefully. But instead, they are forcing other countries to remember so that the true attorcities of Japan do not fade away forever.

I'm going to say something that is at the very heart of the matter: Japanese believe they are superior. They look down on all other Asians, and all other people.

I ask anyone who is not Japanese reading this if they have any Japanese friends. I have friends of all colors, including Asian, but not Japanese. They only hang out with each other.

Japan will never apologize because in thier eyes, everyone else is the inferior mud people. They never want to be beneath us, so they will not admit fault.

And as far as calls for a new military, you saw what they tried to do with thier old military.

First,Japanese are not becoming fascist.

Japan doesn't deny the fact of WW2,but you know losers are always treated as they don't have the right to object anything during the war.There are many problems and exaggeration for the war crimes that is now being expanded by anti-japanese attitude.
Again,Japan don't deny the fact but just is insisting that it should be open to further discussion.
whenever the contries of the victim side say anything,it's almost all admitted because they are victims.When Japan object them to some point based on scientific research,she always get punished without detail investigation,isn't it crazy ??

I am in my mid 20s and I was told like"any reason can't completly justify wars,we Japan made cruel and tragedic history for some part of the world and for ourselves before, so should not repeat it" in my schools.Many Japanese think they should keep in peace.BUT...

Japanese government have no clue to save some Japanese kidnapped by N.Korea,the Japanese "friend" America is going to abandon Japan on this issue.

Japan have no power to abuse rude and insicere behavior of US force in Japan or in Iraq.You know,Japanese think them like America's PET not friend,or yeah, friend just for MONEY and for only America's safe.

There are many things to say,but I have no time um see what the education of S.Korea (not communist country) is in this 21stc.We are sick of these things.Some of them believe they have the right to blame Japan for the next 1000 years.

Prettymachine,you never know how many times Japan admitted its fault and apologized to the asian people do you?How many times politicians,PMs bowed his head to asian countries.
On the other hand,when the western countries apologized to Africa ??When the US will for the massacre of millions of ordinary citizens of many countries ??How many innocent people including babies,kids and women died in Iraq ??
When Korea will appologize for rapes in Vietnum??

I have to say again,Japan DID admitted its fault and apologized again and again.
Japan became very peaceful country and want NO MORE wars but some countries are using these issues as diplomatic card to withdraw huge amount of money from Japan.In fact Japan keeps paying it.

The war crimes of Japan in WW2 which became standard recently obviously contain exaggerations,falses,demagogues,and propaganda.You sound like Japan have no right to object them.It's CRAZY.

As Japan did in WW2,the US force did commit many crimes,many okinawan people were raped and killed but they will never get blamed severly like Japan.It's just because they won the war that's all,sad.

Japan should make effort to keep Asia in peace and should not repeat the same mistake,but US,don't pretend like the only justice.
Another one sentence,Japanese don't look down on other asians but have just some internationally governmental problems.
