Well..... it's been big news in recent day or so that many of the nations nuclear power stations have been closed down due to safety concerns - which has suprised quite a few people, including Government it seems.

They provide UK with a chunk of electricity output..... and now there are fears of powercuts.

I jest you not: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=489362&in_page_id=1770

Maybe your area is bearing the brunt of it.

However as a lad, I still remember the 1970s powercuts... many a day, and it was a right pain - i hope we don't have to go back to that.... although I rock 4 generators to keep myself online. :p

hahaha im glad you got the ice cream :] Power cuts remind me of being about six or seven and waking up or sitting in my room and the lights just going off. My older sister would come over, hold my hand (or i would hold hers "vice-versa") and take me down the stairs, all the while shouting loudly to my parents, cos we both hated the dark! Then all sitting in the living room, with the blinds wide open so the street light could come in, a candle lit on the fireplace and normally just a random chit chat about the day, which being young normally made me fall asleep on the couch :] xoxo Edit: For some strange reason the power light outside lasted for about ten minutes more than the house power did, then we would have to cope and light a couple more candles :]

Don't worry this is so that you will be more receptive to having the unsightly wind generators all over the place. another government spin. The sooner the, so called, Greens stop opposing new nuclear the better.
