Okay, well I changed my mine from my previous costume and I think I'm going with a Elf Princess. I love this:

But It's $200 so anyone have any ideas on some alternatives that don't involve a lot of sewing.

ok well go and find a renicanse looking dresss or have one made cheaply by a seamsstress then just by the fake ears and adhesive a bam ur an elfin princess

Hit the resale boutiques and see if you can find some pastel broom skirts... gauzey-crinkly fabric. Shorten, shred and tack on some bits of diaphenous scarves underneath to make it look floaty & fluffy.
Add matching Danskin body suit and hose, and body glitter and you are there!
