My eclipse runs just a little over half way on the temperature gauge. It never goes up any farther than that and it never overheats or anything. Is it ok taht it runs this way...if not whats wrong with it?

Yep. All cars are set to run at a certain temp. That's what they're made to run at, and if it's not overheating, just leave it.

Mine never got hot enough to suit me in the Indiana winters! Heater never kept me truly warm! Only time it ever got HOT was when the waterpump went out @ about 50k. Fixed that, & it ran 200k on the mid-point. Must have been ok.
