Seriously..I think people target some people and give them thumbs down because they are jealous that they didn't know the answer themselves, aren't as creative, aren't as sarcastic, or just don't possess the capacity of information as someone else does. Don't hate. It's not attractive.

Everyone has different reasons in different circumstances for giving thumbs down. Your theory may well be valid for some people in some situations, but it is too much of a generality to assume it is true for all answers and questions. In any case, the thumbs down option is there for a reason. It's a matter of opinion and everyone has a right to do it if they want to. It doesn't really matter either way. I personally could care less if someone gives me a thumbs down, though I appreciate any thumbs up!

well i dont know about that. Maybe only some people do that. But i give thumbs down if the answer is stupid, does not answer the question, or is a opinion against what your question is asking. I mean those kinds of things are no help and deserve thumbs down. And i think only a real nerd would do that anyways

I've done it accidental a couple of times -sorry for whoever I did that to! Like I meant to press the thumbs up, and pressed thumbs down... or I wasn't paying attention and marked the wrong answer. >_< I've also gave thumb down to be people I completely disagree with.

YES! i get thumbs down on some of my best anwsers! why do people do it? i do it when the anwser submitted REALLY sucks, like or doesnt make sense in any way.

No i think people give thumbs down because they arent as open minded as they should be. Everyone in the world has thier own opinion on everything. So thumbs up to everyone.

They have no life or find that giving a thumbs down is the only way for them to express there intelligence. They do do it to get a reaction in which we all give it to them.

people also give thumbs down because they are set in their ways and and pissed when people don't agree with them. I get several thumbs down if I go into any discussion with religious people and i'm not they're religion or on their side. same thing with politics, some ppl are sore losers and hate being wrong/ or not having the upper hand
