The acid test of the good sense of humor is the degree of ability to laugh at your self more than at others.

'Good' humour is so often dependant on the situation.

What seems funny at 3 am at the end of a long shift at work can seem outright dumb at a dinner party two days later. To me, a lot of humour is like that, it's basically situational.

Some humour does wear well in various situations, of course.

Personally, I enjoy humour that has a bit of bite and insight, such as satire. Witty dialogue is more amusing for me than pratfalls.

But again ~ it sometimes just does depend on the situation!

Cheers :-)

a good sense of humour is when you can make light of just about anything (but tastefully). a good sense of humour is also a DIRTY sense of humour! if you can't make crass remarks in a jokeful way around someone, then poo on them!

Nothing; it's redundant like 'hot fire' - is there any other kind? Is fire ever at room temperature???
