Yes many (infact all) babies like the car ride and hence sleep fast.
Taking the cover out is fine just dont take the sponge out and the belts ... those r the 2 safety concerns. Try more reviews and ideas from the below source.

You really need to try and get her into a crib. The longer you wait the harder it will be. It's o.k. for baby to sleep in places other than the crib, but i wouldn't make a habit of it. My 3 month old will nap during the day sometimes in his swing or on the couch, but always in crib at night unless isn't feeling well. Then it's with us in the bed. I know that some of these things aren't exactly the safest things for him, but we are extremely conscious of what we do and where he is, so there isn't a real problem there for us. Hope things get better for you and your baby. Good Luck!

You need to mention this to your pediatrician. There is a good chance she has acid reflux, which could cause her some discomfort when laid flat. The longer she sleeps this way, the harder it will be for you to break her of the habit. I would also be very hesitant about using a blanket in place of the cover in case it were to fall in a manner that covered her mouth.
Good luck!

Not normal - either you need to go to a doctor to find out if there is any reason she doesn't like lying down. Mostly its just becuase they really don't want to sleep, if you lie them down, they think its nap time and kick up a fuss. (They are too young to understand that the reason they are grumpy is becuase they are tired). In that case I would put them in their crib and leave them (just make sure they are well fed and clean first - so that only leaves tiredness as the reason for the tears), within a day or 2, the baby will be able to sleep normally.

Very normal!
My daughter stopped sleeping in her bassinet at 3 weeks...she just hated it! From then on (now 4 months) she's been sleeping in her vibrating boucer, and sleeps 8-10 hours a night! Try a bouncer, the blanket thing might be ok, but you never know what could happen. The bouncer is fine because they're still on their backs and not to much scrunched up! And there's nothing they can get their hands on to put in their mouths.

No, it isn't safe.
Here's an article on carseat 'cot death':
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/6216892.stm
Part of the article:
"Babies should not be left asleep in car seats unchecked because there is a risk they will stop breathing, warn experts.
Problems arise because reflexes that keep the baby's head upright and their breathing normal are still developing."
What isn't mentioned there, though, is that the straps can also be a strangulation hazard.

My son usually slept in his crib, but there was a few times the only thing that got him to sleep was being placed in his swing. His doctor said it was fine.

it is safe but make sure she is buckled in we had to do that with my son cause he stayed sick and the dr told us to let him sleep in his carseat because if he slept in his crib laying down it would cause him to have pnemonuia so yes its safe for a baby to sleep in there car seat but you better get her use to her crib before she never sleeps in there at all

would you rather her break her neck, or feel uncomfortable in the car seat...
i dont know dont mean to be harsh.. but id rather be safe then sorry.
the head support is very important, especially since she is very fragile still, only amonth old..
so, if i were you, id be more worrieed about her safety - rather then her comfort.
good luck either way
