The only major league team that Hermida has played for is the Marlins (from 2005-2007). He is primarily a right fielder, but has played a few games in left and center fields.

In the minor leagues, he played for (at various times) the Gulf Coast Marlins, Jamestown Jammers, Greensboro Bats, Albuquerque Isotopes, Jupiter Hammerheads, and Carolina Mudcats; all are Marlins farm teams.
