I think we all have this intuition that we are sent into existence for a mission. We just know that we have something important that we are supposed to do but we don't know what it is.
So often, we just go off and do whatever makes us feel good or boosts our ego and then we think of those things as our purpose. But if we do have a mission, we shouldn't be inventing our own.
If we have a purpose/mission for our existence, it has to have come from God. Purpose implies an intelligence that can plan a mission. Obviously, evolution as a mindless natural process can't give us a mission. But sent by God to do what? If we don't know, isn't it logical that we should seek Him and ask Him? Hey, wait. Maybe that is our purpose. To seek Him.

I always felt my purpose was to go to the Eiffle Tower and stand on top, and just to look down. Feel like somethings waiting for me up there. lol.
