I'm not sure if he is afraid of it but he does have a valid reason to be afraid of Iran having nukes. In fact, many countries should be worried about it. Iran as well as many of its allies have publicly expressed hate and contempt towards the USA and its allies/friends. Countries, such as England, Canada, Israel, etc., have all been on the iranian hit list for decades. Moreover, if political parties which believe in terrorism take over, they will no doubt use force against the USA and its friends. Granted, the USA and other may have way to counter attack but the point is the country would have already been attacked.

President Bush's motivation is to prevent the murder of thousands, if not more, innocent civilians at the hands of extremists who wish to impose their world view on others and will do anything to accomplish that goal.
In extreme cases of Bush Derangement Syndrome, some people (liberals) have tried to twist that motivation into something sinister. Makes you wonder what their motivation is. I can't help but wonder why they would risk a madman obtaining nuclear weapons, terrorists obtaining nuclear weapons. Are the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent people an acceptable gamble in the pursuit of political power and the agenda of destroying President Bush? If so, how can they be anything but un-American and unpatriotic?

How Iraq ultimately seems will in all probability sway a lot approximately forgiving the blunders in execution for the way the conflict develop into performed. i think of it will be a lot greater forgiving --if the outcry that FDR and LBJ, even Lincoln, at their modern-day time additionally contended with.

I don't think it's a question of whether America allows Iran to have nukes. I think it's a matter that the world pretty much concedes that Iran shouldn't have them. It's a sad shame that America is the only nation with the kind of leadership that will actually DO something about it.

The motivating factor is that the world community knows that Iran cannot, under any circumstances, have nukes. There's no mystery.

george bush has wet dreams about blowing up frogs with firecrackers -- I highly doubt he thinks of how "history will view him."

My take is this, Bush has never cared what people think of him, if he did he would have gotten out of Iraq as soon as his approval numbers started taking a dive...
I think he's genuinely afraid that Iran might actually do what they themselves have said they would do with nukes, strike US and Israel....
We must be willing to face this threat, thank God we have a president that will LEAD on issues like this.

Relax... The leading UN expert says Iran is years away from obtaining a nuke Three years is the best hope but realistically it will be more then that if they obtain them at all, and Bush will have nothing to say about it at that point, it will be a Hilary decision.

If so, is it a bad thing? Where's the downside to not wanting genocidal psychopaths to get nukes?
