Give them each a roomy tank with filter, heater, and plants. This is the type I use for my bettas: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/22435/product.web Each gets at least 2-3 plants (real, silk, or mixed) and a piece of driftwood.
Mine get fed twice a day, once with pellets and once with a frozen or live food (bloodworms, mosquito larvae, blackworms, or daphnia) and get a cooked green pea with the skin removed once a week (bettas are prone to constipation if they get too much dry food and the fiber from the pea helps prevent this).
If you want to see some fun, give your bettas some live mosquito larvae or blackworms. It's always funny to watch the first time they try to eat a food that moves and twists - they seem so surprised! The variety in their diet is good for them, too.
If you want to try mosquito larvae, just put out a container of water with a few leaves at the bottom. Just be sure to collect and use them before they metamorphose into biting adults. It's free food, and you don't have to worry about the water quality they come from.

Very good question. I have a male and female Betta fish, one of wich is blue and the male is red and blue. His name is Thunder just as the female's Name is, you are going to like it, Athena, goddess of wisdom. It fit's her pretty well too. Anyway... For fun I would train them to jump for there meal sometimes, it's very cool. Aside from regular fish food, you could feed them wingless fruit flies you find in your kitchen or they also will eat blood worms and brine shrimp. Here are a couple of sites for your info on feeding:

Good luck, hope you find my advice helpful! ;)

You can feed the tubifex worms, well we get them in Australia, they are live and the Betta's love them, you can buy a container of the worms and you keep them in the fridge, only feed a max of 2 per 2 days. once the worms get a slimy appearance you have to discard them. Your Betta's will love you
Ps you buy the worms from an aquarium shop

I feed mine zucchini or cucumber once a week. It's fun to watch them try to tear pieces off. I weigh the veggies down with one of those plant anchors.
