I'm sure you've heard of SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. It was a rainy day yesterday, and I had a hard day. I didn't get out of the house, my husband had to run my errands, and I didn't brush my teeth.
Today was better. I brushed, got dressed, met the plumber and went to the pet shop where I picked up kitty grass for the cat. I didn't even nap. There were no clouds in the sky today.
It's an actual phenomena that one of the brain's happy chemicals (serotonin, I think) is produced based on how much light hits the retina in your eyes. Lots of light, lots of happy. I bought a full spectrum light box and sit by it at least an hour a day. My cats love it. I have to push them out of the way so I can catch the vibes myself.lol In case you felt like asking, yes, I do have very happy cats!

Yes a little. I suppose all of this slowly changed in me. I began to tend to my characteristics rather than assign them positive or negative values. My sadness is just a state of mind now, like an unhappy child, that needs a little patience and understanding to be looked after. I've come to love sad rainy days.

Probably for the same reason that light therapy is prescribed for depression.
No, they don't make me feel sad. Maybe the humidity does something for my electrolytes. Or maybe I'm just part plant. It makes me feel like I may burst into bloom (no I'm not a blooming idiot). I want to open a door or window so I can hear it better. I love the smell of rain. And if there is a little wind or coolness with it it is even better.

Gloomy skies, overcast, and obstacles on outdoors events. Plus, they each so often look to dam my sinuses (better humidity i think of). It merely makes for a blah day. fortunately, at present is large right here.
