the hulk is essentially the most powerful hero thats truly from earth (other than maybe the sentry), as in his powers are of earthly origin (not magic, not the cosmic rays, he's not a god, etc.). hulk's powers are radiation based, and he gets stronger as he gets angrier, which means the more you fight him, the harder he fights back.

but galactus is basically a force of nature, he's not really evil, not really good, and he feeds on the energies of entire planets at once, and you cant really be angry with him for it, its part of the food chain on a cosmic level. some things must die so others can live. his power levels are leagues beyond the hulk, and pretty much everything else in the marvel universe.

the hulk is amazingly strong, and he can make most of the world his personal plaything if he wants, but compared to galactus, he's pretty much the biggest fish in a medium sized fishbowl, and galactus is a big cat that knocks over the bowl when he gets bored.

the Hulk would not stand a chance against Galactus. First off have u ever seen how big Galactus he's huge and the Hulk would only reach hes knee or maybe even his upper leg. Second it would take a while for bruce banner to change into the Hulk the main problem with that is he would have to be mad before he could even start the whole change into the hulk.

The Hulk has the potential to be the most powerful character in the Marvel universe. If he was mad enough I think he would stand more than a chance against Galactus. He did give Onslaught a run for his money, he even cracked his armor.

And to WhiteCat, the Hulk can literally adapt and evolve from being in the water too long, he can develop the ability to breathe like a fish. Nick Fury has said that he might be able to adapt the same way in space. And besides, he can hold his breath for a very long, long, long time.

In terms of sheer brute force, no. Galactus would have him for breakfast-- quite literally.

Even in the Marvel Zombie alternate universe, Zombie Hulk had to have help bringing Galactus down.

No. Galactus could use his cosmic power to take the gamma rays out of the Hulk. Presto! no more Hulk, plain old Bruce Banner!

Now Galactus says to him. "I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse... be my herald and you'll never see Betty again... or I'll just throw you into that star and move in with her."

Hulk won't even be able to touch Galactus...
All Galactus got to do is eat earth and all the living thing in it, including Hulk...

Plus, Hulk needs air... Galactus is in outer space, Hulk will die before he can touch him...

Well seeing how he was beaten back by people as weak as the fubar..., I mean fantastic four, and this IS the marvel universe. I would venture to say that the possibilty does exist for the hulk to beat him.....
