Do dead loved ones or friends ever visit you in your dreams? I had a dream awhile back about a friend I lost touch with & in the dream his face was messed up. So when I woke up I looked his name up on yahoo & came across his obit & a news story he died in a car crash this past summer. Anyone dream of the dead or have an experience to share?

When my cousin who was only 6 years old was dying of Leukemia told us about his dream the night before he died, it startled us all. He told us he had a dream that someone was ready to take him to the other side and it was his last day to say good-bye to everyone. His mother asked him to describe this individual. So he did. His mother broke down crying uncontrollably, for the woman in his dream to get him was his mothers Grandmother who had died many years before he was ever born.
I have dreams of old pets and loved ones as well. Whether they are there or it is just our imagination, they do visit us from time to time

Crazy. I love stories like this. Even though it's sad to hear about your friend. Sorry to hear about that part actually.
Once when I was younger two other guys and I snuck into an abandoned orphanage. The orphanage was closed down because the lady in charge was doing experiments on the kids. For instance on one side of the orphanage all was as it should be. On the other side the workers weren't allowed to show the children any form of affection. All other factors were the same food, clothes, hygiene, and other necessities. The story goes after children started dying on the neglected side the orphanage was closed down, and the lady in charge was to go on trial. Before she went to tria, supposedly, the lady hung herself from the second story window. The Legend goes on to say if you went in you could hear children playing.
Anyway, after we went in we heard a noise from down in the basement. Sounded like something heavy had fallen. Could have been anything. We located the door and it was chained shut. The guys I was with were freaking out. Then something happened I forget what but seems like there was an even louder noise behind us. We all took off out of there.
The crazy thing is as we were driving away I (the one who was doubting the Legend the whole time) looked up and saw a noose from the second story window. It looked like it was made from telephone cord or something similar. It was strange because on the way in we actually had a better angle and seems like we would have seen it then. None of us remembered seeing it before but all of us definitely saw it as we drove away.
True story. Other spooky stuff happened that same night. Looking back we had a lot of fun investigating folklore.

I belive they do. Withought getting into any matters of religion or departed souls I'll try to answer your question.
The brain is one of the most complex things you will ever find. Even neurologists can barley even scratch the surface of the brains ability. The brain is thought to be very sensitive while your asleep. I myself have dreamt of my cousin who died in a planecrash many times. One of the most vivid dreams I have had of him was last June.
I was in a plane and I must have been "him" because I could really see everything around me in the air. The plane suddenly plummeted to the ground and everything went black and in my dream i felt searing pain. I woke up and I still felt pins and needles up and down my legs and spine. Creepy...

I think it happened to me once. I lost touch with a friend i had in high school, and found out he passed on a while back.. The only thin I remember for sure we were talking by a water fall.

Yes, a few years after my firstborn still born daughter, Josie died, she visited me to tell me she's fine and happy in Heaven and loves me and wants me to take good care of her little sister. I saw her as a 4 yr old. I also saw my grandma who recently passed smiling as if she's telling us she's at peace now. She was 93.

I have dreams about the dead from time to time.
I think they know how much we love and miss them and I think they feel the same about us and they have to find some way of communicating with us and that is one way they do it.

my ex was shot in the head a long time ago - and i never really let it out - i just kind of acted like we werent together - i use to be a forum judge and they told me if i wanted to stay in judging i had to write about the next topic so i did - the topic was what would you do if you were dying ( it was a rap forum but they let me write mine in poetry ) so i got so deep into it i walked out side and called out my exes name and said im comin to see you and i busted out into tears - well a few nights later i ended up dreaming about him and and he got into a fight in the dream and wouldnt let me be involved in the fight but he came in and found me afterwards and gave me a kiss like everything was ok - a few days later - i ws at work - and my sister use to tell me that me and him always smelled like this berry lotion - this guy walked into the store one day and i looked up and called the guys name out again like it was him in front of me and i snapped back into reality - and went about my buisiness - well later that night i was stocking shelves and i felt a wind behind me i turned and looked because it felt as if someone passed behind me - but no one was there - a few minutes later a bottle of berry lotion fell off the shelf onto the floor - i wsa the only one on that isle and the shelves i were cleaning were not connected to that shelf - i take it as a blessing and i love it because t lets me know he loved me and still watches over me !

Thats so scary!! I dream of my gma but in the dream she is always mad at me! I have no idea what it means....she died when I was only 13 (now 23)

I've had several documentable experiences of precognition regarding the death of someone close,but nothing as graphic as that or involving dreams.
