I'm watching one right now on TV.

I think the horror movies made today have way to many graphics, drama, foul language, and action. That's ruins the horror movie experience. If I want to watch an action movie, I will watch an action movie.

Well, I like some of the new horror movies but not many. I liked "The Hitcher" but I heard that was based exactly off an older movie . . . other than that, I suppose there aren't many new movies I like besides Stephen King's work. But I bet you are thinking more along the lines of "Saw" and "The Hills Have Eyes", right? I really didn't care for them . . . they were okay I suppose but I'd taken a Halloween or Jason movie over them any day. Maybe the movies from the 80s don't have the best graphics but I still think most of them are pretty good.

I agree! There were some good ones in the 80's. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St, Carrie, Pumpkinhead, Creepshow, The Amittyville Horror, Child's Play, Fright Night, i could probably be here all night listing them.

The classic monster movie era of the 40's and 50's were great too with Boris Karloff as Frankenstein, Bela Lugosi as Dracula, and Lon Chaney as the Wolfman.

These days they just go for all blood and gore. They don't make 'em like they used too.

I love horror movies from the 80's. I was too young to watch them then but really love watching them now when I come across them on tv or if I see one on netflix. Some I really liked ... Prom Night, Carrie, Terror Train, My Bloody Valentine.

Well, I do admit they had some great horror movies back then; the music was awesome too. But if you look you can find plenty of new horror movies that are clean
